Northern Territory Education and Care Awards
The Northern Territory Education and Care Awards were established by the Department of Education and the Key Stakeholder Advisory Group (KSAG) for early childhood and school age education and care in 2013.
The awards recognise and celebrate the outstanding achievements of early childhood and outside school hours educators and services who deliver quality learning opportunities, are innovative in their approach and demonstrate exceptional commitment to achieving quality outcomes for Northern Territory children and their families.
2020 NT Education and Care Awards Cancelled
Dear ECEC sector, families and stakeholders
It is with regret that the Early Childhood Education and Care Key Stakeholder Advisory Group (KSAG) in consultation with the Department of Education have decided to cancel the 2020 NT Education and Care Awards.
In light of the COVID-19 pandemic and the uncertain environment that it has created for our services and educators, we believe that it would be difficult to proceed with the Awards this year. This decision has not been made lightly and we recognise that now, more than ever, our sector and educators deserve to be acknowledged for the amazing work they do to support our families, children and community.
Our early childhood services, programs and educators continue to work through these unprecedented and uncertain times to ensure that those families who need care, have it, and that the safety, health and wellbeing of children remains paramount. For this we want to sincerely thank you all.
The 2021 NT Education and Care Awards will have a lot to acknowledge and celebrate.
